Presented as part of Melbourne Design Week & the Melbourne Art Book Fair 2023!
This workshop will dive in to various methods of printmaking including etching, silkscreen, mono, relief, modified laser and Riso printing. The day will include demonstrations, examples of artworks/books created with these methods and conversation about what these techniques provide to contemporary artists and designers. During the day there will be plenty of time to get hands on in the studio, ask questions, experiment and have a cuppa. Participants are guaranteed to leave with a handful of original prints of their own.
Hosted in a cluster of Warrandyte studios, attendees will also have the opportunity to explore artist’s working studio spaces spanning sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and more.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels and ages and your ticket includes all materials needed for the day: high quality printmaking paper, inks, use of the studio and presses and exclusive, unlimited access to the tea, coffee and snacks bench.
There are two dates to choose from. Each day runs from 12pm-5pm.
The Huge Mumma Press is located in Warrandyte – all details for the day including our address will be emailed out to ticket holders in the week leading up to the date.
