A hands on printmaking workshop exploring traditional methods of printing and bookmaking. Presented as part of the Melbourne Art Book Fair 2021!
This workshop will dive in to various methods of printmaking including screen printing, etching, monoprinting and modified laser printing. The day will include demonstrations, examples of artworks/books created with these methods and conversation about what these techniques provide to contemporary artists and designers. Everyone will have time to get hands on in the studio and leave with an original print of their own. Hosted in the Warrandyte studio of Artek Halpern-Laurence and Deborah Halpern, attendees will have the unique opportunity to explore both artists’ working studio spaces and creative working environment.
Ticketed event, suitable for all skill levels and ages.
There are two dates to choose from. Each day runs from 12pm-5pm.
Your ticket includes all materials needed for the day: high quality printmaking paper, inks, use of the studio and presses and exclusive, unlimited access to the tea, coffee and snacks bench.
